Talk:Aid Agencies

From Hurricane Info Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

I've added a http://www.hurricanewiki.org/wiki/Aid_Agencies#National_and_International_Aid_Agencies . We can add subtitles like Responding to Gustav, Responding to Hanna , etc if needed and wanted.

I think it is not a good idea to add a bunch of text to the link, just the links and maybe a phone number (or wikify a contact page url). When you add too much text, it is an invitation to others to do the same(which can end up look like advertising copy) and it lengthens the page quite a bit.

I also prefer to wikify the title of an agency with its url. Thoughts?

I for one don't understand why links are being done as they are. For example: instead of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New Orleans 504-523-3755 we find Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New Orleans (http://www.ccano.org) 504-523-3755 --

I followed what someone else had already started, didn't want to have two different styles on the same page. Most of that content has been moved to http://www.hurricanewiki.org/wiki/Donations now

Nevermind the first part, see http://www.hurricanewiki.org/wiki/Donations :)

In both places we can use a template like I have at http://www.hurricanewiki.org/wiki/User:Bldarter which I copied and pasted from http://relieforganizations.wordpress.com/raw-wikified-test-on-the-tsunami-relief/
